“Learn Boiled Eggs In Tomato SauceFor A Delicious And Trouble Free Meal”
This boiled eggs in tomato sauce is truly a hassle free main course dish which you can prepare off hand without any special ingredients. All you’ll need to do is, prepare some tomato sauce with simple stuff like tomatoes, onions and garlic, and then place fried, boiled eggs in it. That’s pretty much it! Sounds simple doesn’t it?
However there is one part of this recipe that we’ll need to get perfect and that is its tomato sauce. For that we obviously need great tomatoes, ones which are really juicy and ripe and not too tangy. But we don’t need to go overboard with any exclusive ones.
However, sometimes the sauce still does turns out a little too tangy. But we can still recover it with some good old tomato ketchup. So keep some handy in case we need it. With that said, i think we are ready to start cooking. Here is what we’ll need for the
- 4 medium size onions finely chopped.
- 4 medium size tomatoes lightly minced.
- Half teaspoon red chilli powder, pepper powder.
- Tomato ketchup, salt to taste.
- One clove of garlic.
- 4 boiled eggs
- A small cube of chicken stock.

Hard boiled the eggs and then deep fry them in some regular cooking oil. Now keep them aside, we’ll use them later.
Heat some oil in a pan and add the chopped garlic to it. And then right after five seconds add the chopped onions too. Now sauté them on medium to low heat till they turn golden brown.
It’s time to add the tomato purée and the spices (chicken stock, red chilli powder, pepper powder and salt) and mix well. Cook this on low heat till oil and paste begins to separate as shown in the image below.Note: this step may take a while, around 15 to 20 min, so be patient. I promise the wait will be well worth it.
After the tomato paste is ready, we will taste it to see if it’s not too tangy. If it is, then now is the time to add a tablespoon of tomato ketchup. You may add a little more, but not too much or else it will become too sweet.Now add a cup of water to this tomato paste and simmer it for 5 to 10 min. Finally take this tomato sauce out in a serving dish and place the fried, boiled eggs we prepared earlier in it, like shown below.
That’s it! Our boiled eggs in tomato sauce is ready. Enjoy it with bread, tortillas, chapatti, boiled rice or even noodles.
