Bacon Grilled Scallops

This bacon recipe brings out the mild sweet flavor of scallops. I love making them over the weekends, rewarding my family with its nutritional and delicious benefits.


* 1/4 c. bourbon
* 1/4 c. chopped scallions
* 2 tbsp. maple syrup
* 1 tbsp. soy sauce
* 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
* 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
* 1 lb. sea scallops
* 1/4 lb. slices bacon – 3 in.


  • Mix together bourbon, scallions, maple syrup, soy sauce, mustard and pepper in a bowl. Mix in the scallops and cover. Chill for about an hour.
  • Start working on the grill or set the broiler. Use bacon to wrap the scallops. Thread them onto skewers and grill or broil 4 inches above heat. Cook for about 5 minutes turning once.
